Which zodiac does Prism use?
The tropical zodiac, which most Western astrologers use. In this zodiac, 0° Aries is the March equinox. Positions are seen from Earth and calculated with astronomy-engine. They are accurate to well under a degree.
What does retrograde mean?
Seen from Earth, a planet sometimes seems to slow down, stop and move backwards through the zodiac for a while. This happens because the planets move around the Sun at different speeds. Astrologers see it as a time to review, not to push ahead.
What is an aspect?
An aspect is an angle between two planets. The main ones are 0° (conjunction), 60° (sextile), 90° (square), 120° (trine) and 180° (opposition). The closer the angle is to exact, the stronger its effect. “Getting closer” means the angle is becoming exact. “Moving apart” means it has passed.
