What it means
Venus retrograde, plainly
Venus is retrograde for about six weeks every year and a half. Tradition sees it as a time to review love and values. Former partners come back, and what we find beautiful or worth paying for can change. It is a bad time to start a relationship or change your look. It is a good time to think about what you really want.
Its shadow lasts about a month before and after the retrograde. Feelings that come up then are part of the same review.
Traditionally avoid
- Weddings and new relationships
- Big changes to your look, such as a new haircut or hair colour
- Big luxury purchases
- Thinking that a former partner is back for good
Good for
- Thinking about what and whom you value
- Repairing relationships that are worth repairing
- Reviewing your budget and spending
- Repairing old things you love
