The planet
Venus
It rules love, pleasure, money, beauty. Each day, the planner checks its condition. Is it moving forward or retrograde? Is it strong or weak in its sign? Is Venus or Jupiter helping it? Are Mars or Saturn putting pressure on it? Is it too close to the Sun?
The houses
4th & 11th
Each house is an area of life. These houses cover home and family, and friends and groups. When the Moon passes through the matching signs (Cancer, Aquarius), the day scores higher.

A growing Moon
New starts go with a growing (waxing) Moon, ideally a day or two after the new moon. The last days of the cycle count against them. So do the hours when the Moon is void of course, which means it makes no more major angles before it changes sign.
